Volunteers required for 24th March

As a joint trial day, we are seeking Berowra volunteers for the day to help Mount Colah “Colts” Football Club volunteers run the canteen. A lot of the baked goods (sausage rolls, meat pies etc.) have been kindly donated by Bite Me Bakehouse and all profits going to both clubs.

So if you can volunteer for an hour or longer, please reach out to Gary@sasis.com.au so he can schedule you in between 8am till 5pm. We would be extremely grateful to anyone who can help.

HHFC Trial Games Cancelled!

We know you have all been very keen, unfortunately we can’t control the weather so Trial Games against HHFC are cancelled today because of the downpour. Lets hope weather is much more kinder to us next week.

Are you a Coach or Manager in 2019?

Are you going to coach or manage a kids team this year?

You need to do the following before the season starts, so that you are eligible. You can only collect your team kit bag if you have completed these steps – all people need to do these steps if they are coaching or managing.

1. Apply for your WWC check online
https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/child-safe-organisations/working-with-children-check

2. Go to your local Service NSW office and complete the process in person. This is free for Volunteers. In a week or so you will receive your WWC number by email (check your spam account).

3. Email the following details to our registrar at registrar@berowrafc.org.au as soon as you can.
> your full name
> your date of birth
> your WWC number
> the team you are coaching or managing (ie u09 mixed scorpions)

4. Register as a volunteer online at https://www.playfootball.com.au/register/

Important note …
Both coach and manager need to have done this in order to be eligible to volunteer for our club, and in order to collect your teams kit bag at the coaches and managers night in March (date/time TBC).

If you already have a WWC number, go to step 3 to complete the process. WWC numbers are valid for 5 years.

Grading Days update – Revised 13/02/2019

Grading for Under 8 teams and above will commence this Sunday, and continue over the next week and a half. We strongly encourage you to attend to help us place your child in an appropriate team.

Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time, and check in at our registration tent.

Don’t forget to apply plenty of sunscreen, bring a hat if needed, lots of water and please no football boots to be worn.

To ensure all players have the chance to show off their football skills, we kindly request that all parents stay outside the oval fence during grading.

Please note that Under 6 and Under 7 teams are not graded. We will do our best to place children with friends where possible.

We will decide whether grading needs to occur in the other junior mixed and Girls teams once registrations close.

Day 1 – Sunday, 17 February – Warrina Street Oval 
8.30 – 9.30 -Under 8 (all players)
9.45 – 10.45-  Under 9 (players previously selected in Development Squads are not required to attend)
11 – 11.45- Under 10 (players previously selected in Development Squads are not required to attend)
12 -12.45 –  Under 11 (players previously selected in Development Squads are not required to attend)

Day 2 – Sunday, 24 February – Mt Kuringai Oval
8.30 – 9.15 Under 9 Development Squad players only
9.30 -10.15 Under 10 Development Squad players only
10.30 –11.15 Under 13 (players previously selected in Development Squad are not required to attend)
11.30 – 12.15 Under 14 (all players)
12.30 – 1.15 Under 15 (all players)

Day 3 – Thursday, 28 February – Mt Kuringai Oval
6.00 – 6.45 Under 11 Development Squad players only
7.00 – 7.45 Under 12 (players previously selected in Development Squad are not required to attend)
